The company’s principal director, Carlisha Hartzog, is an executive-level strategist with 20+ years of leadership experience, directing high-profile corporate meetings, executive summits, national conferences, C-suite hospitality programs, and project initiatives. She’s the founder of Hartzog Consulting, leading full-lifecycle planning and project management for Fortune 500 corporations, global foundations, and national associations.
Throughout her career, she has provided direct management oversight for a variety of industries and organizations, and has led all strategic planning initiatives, projects, and events since Hartzog Consulting’s inception.
Carlisha is recognized for white-glove hospitality execution, disciplined budget stewardship ($1M+ programs), vendor negotiation, luxury guest experiences, and seamless on-site leadership. As as management consultant, she maintains a proven ability to manage complex logistics, multi-stakeholder environments, and executive communications with precision and discretion.
Prior to founding Hartzog Consulting in 2013, she spent eight years in leadership and management positions for various financial institutions in the United States, including AmSouth Bank, Regions Bank, and PNC Bank, focusing on consumer and commercial banking needs, building and leading retail banking teams, and managing portfolios in excess of $20 million.
While living in Europe and the Northeastern United States, Hartzog has always been intrigued and influenced by the diversity and impact of brand power. Utilizing the knowledge that she received from her education and early professional experience, she led sales, branding, and merchandising services to brands including Victoria’s Secret and former French fashion house, BCBG Max Azria. An avid traveler and former fashion correspondent, Hartzog has been accredited by the British Fashion Council as an International Blogger, and covered runway shows during London Fashion Week in 2012.
Carlisha earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences (fashion merchandising; business; marketing; Spanish) from the University of Alabama. She holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Alabama.
As Hartzog Consulting has evolved, Carlisha continues to utilize experiences from the worlds of fashion, marketing, finance, and corporate America to provide leadership to the firm, leveraging a distinctive viewpoint of how a brand can take on many forms, and should ultimately appeal to the market and intentionally-defined stakeholders.
Project management shows up in everything that I do, including fascinatingly detailed projects like events for the Super Bowl. I have the honor of working with Pro Football Hall of Famers, NFL legends, to create custom-built experiences to offer guests who want memorable engagement. But even with high-level entertainment, everything lies in the logistical details.
The ongoing cool work that I get to do is to use project management to develop and implement processes, or to tell the story of the work that is being done for the greater good: uplifting higher education institutions making pivotal shifts in redefining what ‘student success’ looks like; managing implementations for health plans to reduce homelessness and to increase access to wraparound social services; and creating the logistics for large youth summits across the nation. The successful use of project management leads, inspires evolution, and evokes change.”
